Greg Maravilla CPA is a CFO Advisor for PracticeCFO, acting as a direct point of contact for our valued clients. He coordinates the assets of our firm to help deliver actionable financial advice and information to clients.
Greg spent over 20 years in corporate accounting and finance for both publicly traded and privately held companies. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a national lending company for 5 years. During his career, he has raised over $475MM in debt and equity capital, reported to Boards of Directors, ran full-cycle accounting departments, managed audits, led software conversions and upgrades, and constructed multi-year capital and operating budgets.
Director of Transitions
Gregory Blake is the Director of Transitions at PracticeCFO. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). As a member of the AICPA, Greg also has the highly-regarded ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) Certification.
With 25 years in corporate / public accounting and financial analysis roles, Gregory helps position our clients in the valuation and transition of dental and medical practices to be at their best. At PracticeCFO, he has helped many potential practice owners identify unique issues and uses various valuation methods in the practice valuation and planning, including financial statement analysis, debt management, cash flow management, tax planning and resolution issues, business valuation, and retirement planning. Prior to joining PracticeCFO, Gregory’s experience includes working with high-net worth clients in such companies as First Union Capital Management (now part of Wells Fargo), SunTrust, Peregrine, legal and accounting firm analysis, and is also a proud Mountaineer from West Virginia University.
He is very concerned for the welfare of animals and can usually be found holding a cup of coffee.
Wesley Read is the founder of PracticeCFO, a financial planning and CPA firm specializing in practice owners. Wesley has been working with practice owners since 2007.
Earlier in his career, Wesley had audited the financial statements of fortune 500 corporations during his employment at Ernst and Young LLP, the third largest accounting firm in the country.After his time with Ernst and Young, Wesley joined the wealth management division of Moss Adams Wealth Advisors LLC. Wesley worked with some of the industry’s top thinkers in managing approximately one billion dollars of client assets.
Prior to his professional experience, Wesley received a bachelor and master degrees, both in accounting from Brigham Young University; programs that are recognized in the top accounting schools in the nation.
Paul Lipcius CPA is a CFO Advisor for PracticeCFO, acting as a direct point of contact for our valued clients. He coordinates the assets of our firm to help deliver actionable financial advice and information to clients.
Earlier in his career, Paul worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the largest accounting firm in the country, performing audits of financial statements and internal controls for large public clients in a variety of industries. Additionally, Paul worked with RSM McGladrey in their transaction advisory services division where he completed buy-side advisory services for private equity clients including due diligence on acquisition targets. This background has given him the ability to analyze and understand the financial health of a business and provide CFO-based guidance to help clients strengthen their financial position.
Paul is a diehard LA Rams fan and spends his spare time rock climbing, surfing, and playing with his dog, Scout.
Drew Phillips CPA is a CFO Advisor for PracticeCFO, acting as a direct point of contact for our valued clients. He coordinates the assets of our firm to help deliver actionable financial advice and information to clients.
Earlier in his career, Drew worked with Dixon Hughes Goodman, a top national public accounting firm, where he assisted private equity clients assess the financial health and viability of potential acquisition targets. During his time in transaction advisory he completed buy-side advisory services across a variety of middle-market industries. This background has given him the unique ability to analyze and understand the financial health of a business and provide CFO-based guidance to help clients strengthen their financial position.
